Does the excitement of beating the dealer, splitting aces and eight, or doubling down create excitement and fire in your eyes? If you enjoy the thrill of casino blackjack then blackjack online is for you. If you are ready to beat the dealer then all you need to know to start is that the objective of this game is for the player to reach or come close to 21 while not going over. If you are able to do that while still beating the total drawn by the dealer then you win.

Each player, in blackjack, must place a bet. Once a bet is placed both the player and the dealer are dealt two cards. The only difference here is that the players cards are placed face up while one of the dealer’s cards is shown and the other is face down. In blackjack terminology this is know as the dealer’s hole card. From there blackjack is a simple game of beating the number drawn by the dealer without going over 21. Simply put if you beat the dealer then you win. Players win the amount of money they bet with one exception, when a Blackjack or 21 is drawn on the player’s first two cards he or she wins one and one half times the original bet placed.

Since I was a child I’ve been a sucker for gambling. Not in a compulsive sort of way, but ever since I can remember that world has fascinated me to a degree that very little stuff has been able to. Maybe it was the movies or the books that showed the more glamorous side of the game, or maybe it was just one of those kid things that you really can’t explain, but the world of gambling was always my calling. Not exactly sports betting, but casino games – poker and blackjack especially. Never been much of a roulette man, much less slot machines.

I remember organizing special casino nights with my friends, we’d each get a certain number of currency, be it beans or my dad’s poker chips, and we’d have fun role-playing. As I got older, I discovered the world of online gambling. Maybe I didn’t have the proper dress code to gamble in a casino, being a University student living off coffee and ramen noodles, but I had enough quality to make a little bit of extra money off internet gambling.

And while everyone was focusing on poker games, I was going for Blackjack games. It’s always been my game of election; it just feels better to me being me against the house instead of trying to nick money off other players. And that’s what I specialized on and, honestly, I feel there’s more money in it than in poker, where the games are flooded by know-it-all players making safe moves they learned off a book.

Just like the housekeeping staff who cleans your room, casino dealers are part of the Service Industry. Although their service is different than a waitress, they do rely on tips for a portion of their income. Tipping a waitress is done by a percentage of what you ordered, but the dealer is somewhat different.
He delivers, or deals, the game to you and everyone expects courtesy and a smile, like the waitress, and the game plays on with little trouble. They also give you change and take your money when you lose. If you are one of those who are losing at the game, the dealer will try to easy your pain and stay friendly. Those people who win are likely to leave a tip just because of their win but losers will just walk away.
You can tip by directly handing it to the dealer, or you can put a chip next to yours on the layout. Some players at blackjack tables will tip once an hour but in the end it is up to you as to whether you tip or not. Everyone has their own rules for this situation, just do what feels right.
